| Vimeiro, renowned
for it's immaculately maintained fairways and greens, is built
on the banks of a river, in a spa resort on the atlantic coast.
It comprises a nine 2 hole course which though not long, at
Par 37 and 2,350mts. (2,570yds.) is definitely testing. |

A good example is the first hole, which
gives a general view of the course with the river on the right
of the fairway and out-of-bounds on the left, it's necessary
to pay accurate shots right from the first tee....
another is the 9th, which with elevated
green, Par 3 and 191mts.(209yds.) long, makes it quite difficult
to reach.

Situated in a region famous for its
thermal baths, where agriculture and vine growing play a
predominant part, Vimeiro's nine hole course runs along
cliffs with views to the sea on one side, and to hills and
woods on the other.
It was designed
by Frank Pennink along the banks of Alcabrichel river. The
Vimeiro golf course, can be rather difficult, in that the
narrow fairways do not forgive any errors.
