Situated in the hills of Serra Da Estrela ("the heights of the stars"), 18 kms from Covilhã, 24 kms from the border town of Guarda. 300 kms northeast of Lisbon or 3 hours drive on the motorway. A beautiful green area, ideal for walks, VTT or tours in jeeps. River-beach 7 kms.
Stonebuilt chalet with magnificent views of the valley. The nearest small town (pharmacy, doctor, supermarket), Belmonte, is 4 km away but there is a second chalet on the property so the house is not entirely isolated.
The house has 5 bedrooms on the ground floor: 2 double bedrooms plus bunkbeds. There is private shower room next to each of these bedrooms. 3 bedrooms with single beds and bunkbeds On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms and a full bathroom. Large living room with views of the countryside. Small kitchen.
Very nice swimmingpool (13x6,5 m) in superb location. The house is 1 km from the main road. The drive is steep, but the road is macadamized.

Renovated traditional stonehouse just outside small hamlet close to the river Douro and less than an hour from Oporto.
There are 3 bedrooms (3 double with an extra bed in two of the bedrooms) and 3 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have bathroom or shower room ensuite, the third has to step outside and down a staircase for the shower room. Livingroom; nice courtyard and lots of outdoor space. There is no communication between the rooms, access to rooms and living is from outside. Neighbour near by.
In the village (1000 m away) there are shops, a small restaurant and cafés. Beach on the river 2 km. Small town Feira Nova 4 kms, with post office, doctors, pharmacy etc, the bigger town of Marco de Canaveses is 17 kms, Oporto 55 km.
